GRANOLA

Harken

Updated: Apr 17, 2024

This is another super easy thing to whip up, and then you have it on hand or can give it as gifts. I have actually never been gifted homemade granola and that is so sad. But I have gifted it and it was loved.

Granola Recipe:

5 cups oats

1 cup brown sugar

1 TB cinnamon

1 tsp dried ginger

⅛ tsp cloves

1 tsp salt

1 cup toasted nuts - I used walnuts here but you can use any!

½ cup seeds - I almost always use pumpkin!

1 egg white

1/4lb butter - melted

Optional add ons - AFTER it’s baked

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 cup dark chocolate chips

1 cup any dried fruit - cherries, apricots, currants….

Preheat your oven to 325

Mix together all of the ingredients, leave it chunky if you like chunky granola. Divide it on two lined baking trays. Bake for 15 minutes, stir it, bake another 10, stir it. If it’s golden brown, remove it from the oven. If it’s a bit light, bake another 5.

Let cool, then add in any add ons. Store in any container that’s airtight.

I served mine with berries + yogurt.
