A few things to note: 
Patina: The flatware is a matte bronze so there is a natural patina that occurs over time that will make them appear slightly darker. Of course, you can always polish them if you prefer a shinier finish. 
 
Wash: They are dishwasher safe- the manufacturer just suggests placing them with the head up so water doesn't sit on them too long. We haven't had any issues using them in a commercial setting-- they get washed quite a bit as you can imagine! 
 
Chemical-Free: No added chemicals and in compliance with European food safety standards (European Food Direction 84/500/EEC). 
 
Custom: All bronzeware is hand-forged and made to order. Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive your pieces. Returns are not accepted.
